Please find attached a link to a photo taken of Reya at our first Endurance ride of the season. This is us coming in at the finish, on a very keen horse still! We had just completed 20 miles in rain and mud, and she flew round the whole way in trot and canter. We completed the course in 2hrs 14mins.
Reya is still very happy in her bridle, and was so balanced throughout the ride, even through mud that she definitely would have struggled with in the past. I am looking forward to the next rides of the season.
Do you know when the new book is coming out in English, in the UK?
Many thanks,
Melanie Bailey (UK)

Vanessa and her horse in the LG Bridle

This is my horse in his LG bridle. We both love this bridle. It is perfect for dressage schooling, schooling over fences, and trail riding which we do a lot of. I love that he can eat comfortably with it on while on the trails. This is a younger horse and so we are just beginning collection work. This bridle is A1 for developing collection and in my opinion, is by far the finest bitless bridle or hackamore available anywhere. I highly recommend it. Thanks to Claudia and Monika for helping me fit my horse.
Enjoy! Vanessa Karre, Herbalist from Colorado

I received my LG bridle last week and have been very pleased so far with the results. I have a Trakehner gelding who has always been very fussy in his mouth -- he has a thick tongue and a low palette so it's been difficult to find a bit that is comfortable for him. I had tried other bitless solutions but they didn't 't work for him -- he's extremely sensitive to pressure on his head and nose, so when I tried them on him, he would start to get light in front and suck back.
I tried LG first in the standard position and found that the mechanical action was too strong for him. I then tried it in the side pull position and it was like magic. He immediately relaxed and started swinging through his back. After only two rides in the LG bridle, I took him to a hunter pace and let a teenage girl ride him. I've always been reluctant to let others ride him because he resists when ridden with someone who's hands are not absolutely quiet. He was far more relaxed and was still responsive to turning and stopping aides. I had the chance to jump him over their outside course after the event and really felt that he worked well in the bitless solution.
For his fourth ride in the LG bridle, I fox hunted. Granted, there were no fences in this territory, but the field still moved quite fast. I was very pleased by how well he responded to the LG bridle. He was very comfortable in it and completely in control.
I don't generally write to manufacturers but I'm very impressed by how well this is working for my horse.

More on Liz and her experience w/the LG Bridle.

Hi Claudia,
Well, what can I say? Today I had my ‘dream ride’! I have had my horse for 3 years, and she has always been very spooky and unconfident, and very nervous of the contact with the bit, even rearing up on occasion when I tried to get her to stand still at a busy road junction for example. A couple of months ago I tried her with the Dr Cook bitless bridle, which produced an enormous improvement, particularly with her confidence when facing ‘spooky’ situations. Whereas in the past she would have spun round and run off down the road, she started to just hesitate, look at what was worrying her, and 8 times out of 10 walk on past. However, the ‘contact’ with the Dr Cook, whilst a lot better than with a bit, was a bit ‘wishy-washy’ (do you have that expression the States?). The feeling was rather ‘dead’ - you got the feeling that whilst you couldn’t do her any harm, and that she was a lot more confident that I wasn’t going to accidentally inflict any pain on her, it was a very ‘unsubtle’ tool.
I have never been able to canter Reya like that, for mile after mile, with such a light feeling – no rushing, no running away from my hand, but still forward going and offering more or less as and when I communicated it to her. I have dreamed for years of riding a horse like this, and today she appeared in front of me!
Thank you so much, I am very very impressed!
Will send you a photo soon.
Best wishes,
Melanie Bailey, UK

Claudia,
I'm sorry it's taken so long to send these to you. These are pictures of my daughter and her mustang the first time she used the LG Bridle on her. She really likes it and would like to participate in the next clinic. Please let us know the next time there will be one.
By the way, I use the one I bought on my mustang exclusively now. She has not bolted or been able to spin out from under me since I started using it. I rode the Mariposa Endurance ride with Stef Waller in June and loved the way my mare worked in it. I will not go back to a bit.
Thanks,
Debie Petersen

Hi there!!!! The bridle is great, I only had one day to mess around with as it has been pouring out ever since................all I can say is WOW!!!! and WOW again! :)
I rode inside my "arena" just to see how she went, and then I told my husband, OPEN THE GATE and went all around the yard!!!! LOL she was an angel, somewhere in the back of mind I knew she would be.

This was really a fun day and I love the bridle! I took Tica out 2 times in the mountains and she was awesome in her bridle. We did not work on collection just trail plowing along, but she was a great little girl. No problem keeping her in control and paying attention. I love this bridle!

I really enjoyed riding with Monika.  She is more knowledgeable and "for the horse" than any trainer I've ever worked with.  I have two horses that I rode with Monika and both worked extremely well in the LG Bridle.  The true test of this bridle, however, was a good gallop on the trail with my "not the greatest brakes" horse, Turtle. No problem!! I've had both Darla, my 4 year old PMU filly, and Turtle, my 6 year old Quarter Horse, out on the trail in the LG working better than ever!

I have two horses, a 6 year old Haflinger gelding and a 22 year old Morgan mare.  I've had my Morgan for a year. Her previous owner rode her in a mechanical hackamore as she would go right through a snaffle bit.  She tends to have lots of go and not much whoa, and she used to push against the hackamore.  When I found the LG Bridle, I tried it thinking that it would be harder to stop her, but the opposite is true.  I've been riding her in the LG Bridle exclusively for 4 months now, and she is absolutely wonderful in it.  No more pushing or resisting, and she listens much better to me now.  She seems to be more comfortable and much more responsive.  My Haflinger is another story.  He was always hard to steer or control with a snaffle bit in his mouth.  I used to ride him with a full-cheek slow twist snaffle, or a Pelham.  My trainer used the LG Bridle on him first, and she was amazed at how well he reponded to it.  I was afraid at first that I would have less control with it, but once again, the opposite is true; he stops, steers, turns, flexes, and is generally much lighter and more responsive than he ever was in any bit I've used with him.  I had previously tried a Dr. Cooks Bitless Bridle, but I didn't feel that I had the lateral control or the leverage that I have with the LG Bridle.  I tell everyone I know how great I think this new LG bitless bridle is!  I love it!

I got it last week, thanks so much it's brilliant! I have ridden both my ponies in it now. My gelding Tigger seemed to like it, though he found it a little easier to bend the wrong direction than he would with a bit, but overall he worked really well in it and really reached down into a contact! Roana, my mare also went fantastically, She didnt buck or shake her head once and was very controllable and willing to work well! I am really pleased with it. Thanks again!
